It is indeed a dark time for the Nollywood movie industry as actor, Junior Pope Odonwodo passes away after drowning.
According to reports, the movie star drowned while returning from a movie location with his colleagues in a boat after they fell into Anam River in Anambra State. Their bodies have since been recovered. This tragic incident occurred on April 10th.
Before his passing, the actor posted a video of himself inside a boat, fervently praying for safe journey.
In the video on his Instagram page, Junior Pope could aslo be heard crying out over the risk he was taking; plying the river without a life jacket.
Captioning the post, he wrote
See me lamenting……The risk we take to entertain you ; crossing river 9ja yesterday with no life jacket…… Na wahoooooo …. Who does that ??”
He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Awele and three children.
