Zuhair Murad Official Runway Show for Paris Haute Couture Week 2023 was exactly as we imagined as the fashion house gave their best in the production of exquisite designs as they kept their loyal customers at heart. The fashion house as expected aimed to please as the designs were of different variety; silk, lace, net and cotton.

Light fabrics like tulle, chiffon, and draped jersey, along with embellishments like beaded fringe and pearl-studded interpretations of macramé, were used by Murad to create an air of “romantic sexy” gaiety. Haute peignoirs evoking the glory days of Hollywood were adorned with feathers, tonal embroidery, and cascades of crystals.

Some red carpet looks, particularly the pleated and draped gowns in Mediterranean blue, lime green, or scorching yellow, were complemented with Murad’s interpretation of heirloom jewelry. It wouldn’t be strange to see any of these outfits—a white halter neck gown, a draped silver dress, mandarin orange and hot fuchsia sequin numbers—appear at the Oscars in a few weeks, even though some of them seemed a tad skimpy for real-life circumstances.

The wedding dress was created without crinoline, rhinestones, or shine but with no crinoline, crystals or shine, but lots of macramé embroidery—was a departure for Murad. While that’s a bit out of character, from the front row it looked like it would find plenty of traction.
