Life could be very amazing, depending on the perspective you choose to view it from. Right now in Africa, the rate at which 22 – 28-year old men are going for older women is alarming. Young men are tracking down older women and warming their way into the hearts of those that are open to such arrangements via internet dating websites and social media.

 

This is not new; I mean young men chasing older women. What is new is that since most of the lies the young African men tell gullible rich European/American older women in order to defraud them of lots of dollars, pounds and euros are being detected easily these days, with some of them jailed, these young, fraudulent African men, (some of them encouraged by their mothers) are turning to the rich, older African women to deceive and defraud them in the name of ‘love’.

And, since we have older women seeking for ‘love’ all over the world, some African older women are falling for these fraudulent moves too.

 

When some of these young men are arrested here in Africa, it’s always a shame to discover that most of their mothers know what their sons were doing and encouraged them. If you don’t believe me, ask policemen about related cases that have passed through their hands.

 

This chasing after older women phenomenon was made popular by some women in high places who started by inviting young guys who are celebrities to parties and, right there, these ‘aunties’ share the guys amongst themselves for the night. Later, they began to take these guys on trips around the world, spoiling them silly; because from that time onwards, that rising star becomes a rising moon!

 

Eventually, everything about the young men go down and permanently too. How many of them who tried it are still really heard of again? European/American ‘aunties’ may do it for love but most rich African ‘aunties’ enchant and hypnotise their lover boys! The result is that when you see these ‘aunties’ at the next red carpet event, they look fresher because – as they say, ‘destiny has changed hands’! Sit down there and say you don’t believe in juju. Well, some Africans do juju! If you are not in an active covenant with God and serving Him, you will be a victim!

 

The young men’s scams happen in different ways. Some of them will say, “Aunty, I have this guy you will like; who will be great company for you. The only problem is that he lives in the UK and just getting divorced from his European wife who has refused to come down to Nigeria with him. Even if he comes down sef, he will have to start all over again except he has something he can start doing here when he comes.”

 

Now, this is a scam. The guy is truly in the UK; he went there without papers and has not been able to achieve anything with his life. He is looking for a way to come back home to reap where he has not sown. So, he arranges with someone here to rip off a rich, gullible older woman.

 

Unfortunately, most of these young men are recording huge success or so they think. So, after chatting online with ‘Aunty’ for some time, ‘Aunty’ starts to make arrangements for his arrival. A new apartment, a car and an office are made ready for him to start up some business. His friend, the link, is well compensated; most times, with a new Car.

 

Some of these links, to your greatest shock, are usually these older women’s account officers in banks and have first hand information on the financial worth of these women. How sad!

 

The dilemma is these arrangements NEVER last because London Boy quickly forgets that the money he is spending does not belong to him. He begins to keep chains of girl friends, clubs heavily and attends orgies; not knowing judgment day from ‘Aunty’ is at hand.

 

‘Aunty’ finally realises that she has been scammed. She takes back everything from him. London Boy just moves on to his next victim, and easily too, since he has been baptized already into a class of people in the society.

 

London Boy thinks he is smart and sharp. He doesn’t realise that he has become a tool that will always be passed around! He doesn’t know that he will NEVER amount to anything in life again; never have anything that he can truly call his own; never be a part of a loving family; never find true peace! And, if he doesn’t cry out to God, after living a wasteful and meaningless life, even his death will be a waste.

 

Every time we move away from the will of God for our lives, WE ARE DESTROYED. May that never be the portion of anyone reading this!
