Y/Project Cancels Paris Fashion Week Due to “Uncertainty”

Y/Project’s decision to cancel its Paris Fashion Week runway show, citing “uncertain times,” reflects the challenges faced by the fashion industry. The brand has decided to focus on internal investments and cut down on luxury spending which is not healthy for the brand pocket at the moment.

According to the tentative itinerary for Paris Fashion Week issued by the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode, the organizational body for French fashion, the brand was originally scheduled to display their fall 2024 collection on March 3 at 7 p.m.

Instead, the collection will be showcased through a look book, Y/Project announced Thursday in an exclusive statement to WWD.

“This strategic shift reflects Y/Project’s commitment to prioritizing investments in the growth of the company, its teams, and its product offerings. By reallocating resources, the brand aims to promote Y/Project in the most effective manner possible,” the brand said.
