Nollywood actress Wunmi Toriola has dismissed rumours that she engaged in extramarital affairs and owed her success in life to men.
The mother of one recently announced her separation from a six-year husband and came under heavy criticism from fans who agreed with the rumours that she cheated on several occasions during her marriage.
It was also alleged that she was having an affair with the husband of her colleague in the movie industry, a rumour she dismissed and insisted that her success in life can only be linked to her hard work.

Toriola said:
“Please, when you see write-ups/videos on Youtube or Tiktok about Wunmi Toriola, ignore it. They are sponsored by unidentified people just to dent my name. The only thing that puts food on my table is my fan base and acting skills. I don’t have any sugar daddy and none of my colleagues can claim to have ever hooked me up with any sugar daddy. I dare you to come out and counter my claim If I ever did hook up with you.”
The thespian also expressed shock as to the extent people can go to dent someone’s image:
“I’m not dragging the slay queen with anyone. I always stay on my line but my colleagues hate me because of my God-given talent. I’m not in competition with anyone in the film industry. You are into cinema movies but I’m focusing on my Youtube channel. Why is the hatred this much?”
She also noted that she felt the need to address the rumours to clear her name and protect her reputation:
“Some people have been advising not to address this issue, but keeping calm has spoilt a lot of people’s names. If I ignore the rumour, how do you want my parents to cope with all this bad news? Though my mother is late but I still have a father, how do you want him to feel when you always put me in negative news?”
