‘Have mercy on singles’ Wumi Toriola appeals to lovers ahead of Valentine’s Day

As Valentine’s Day draws nigh, Nollywood actress, Wumi Toriola has made a passionate appeal to lovers.

On her Instagram page, she remarked how on Valentine’s Day those in relationships would be expressing appreciation to their partners for their gifts.

In her appeal, Wumi urged them to consider singles in their Valentine’s Day celebrations, emphasizing that singles are also human. She also encouraged them to specify if the gift they received was a self-gift.

She wrote,

“We will soon enter the week of “Ademi thanks”. In your pepper write-up, pls still have mercy on the singles.

“Na person born them too. Also, indicate if the gift is from you to you, And be brief.

Thanks. From the president of “some of us too busy to be bae” Oju wa ma bo for Valentine…Where is my David bliss, God”. It is worth noting that Wumi Toriola is a divorcee.”

The Yoruba star announced her separation from her husband and the father of her son in early 2022.

Reflecting on 2022, the actress revealed that she left a domestically violent and abusive relationship for the sake of her sanity.

In contrast, her ex-husband claimed their marriage was fraught with violence, deceit, and betrayal on Wumi Toriola’s part. He described their marriage as a complete regret and alleged that Wumi physically assaulted his mother.
