Big Wiz was nominated for seven MTV EMAs and easily won three of them. In 2016, he was named Best African Act and Best Worldwide Act.

With this achievement, Wizkid has successfully earned the title of the most awarded African artiste with 3 EMAs, and multiple BETs and MOBOs Awards.

‘Made In Lagos’ (MIL), Wizkid’s fourth studio album, was released in October 2020.

He has gone on tour in support of the project, selling out venues all over the world.

Damian Marley, Skepta, H.E.R., Ella Mai, Burna Boy, Tems, and Terri are among the artists that have collaborated with MIL.

In 2021, Wizkid released a video for MIL’s ‘Essence,’ which was followed by a Justin Beiber remix.

‘Essence’ debuted at number ten on the Billboard Hot 100 list.

Wizkid also published an 18-track deluxe edition of the record, which received widespread acclaim.

Wizkid appeared on Beyoncé’s ‘Brown Skin Girl,’ a tune from the soundtrack of ‘The Lion King: The Gift,’ in mid-2019.

As admirers applauded the artist on social media, he received big international prizes.
