‘Why I didn’t try to settle Davido and Burna Boy’s feud’ – Peruzzi spills

Nigerian singer and songwriter, Peruzzi clarified the reason behind not attempting to resolve the conflict between Afrobeats stars, Burna Boy and Davido.

In a recent interview on the Zero Condition podcast, Peruzzi stated that Davido and Burna Boy are like “brothers” and the situation is more complex than people think, he couldn’t intervene.

He further claimed he never agreed to anything and that he didn’t get involved because he is older than both of them. He stated that despite their disagreement over Burna’s song, Pull Up, he still gets along well with the self-proclaimed African Giant.

Peruzzi said that Burna Boy and Davido will sort out their issues by themselves, without anyone else getting involved.

He also mentioned in the interview that Burna Boy released the song “Pull Up” without informing him, even though he wrote the song and was supposed to be part of it.

Despite this, he explained that such things were common in the music industry back then, and they remained calm with no hard feelings toward each other.

One of the co-hosts, Motolani asked Peruzzi: “Did any of the funny energy between him [Burna] and David affect you guys relationship?”

In response, Peruzzi said:

“No, it never did. First of all I am older than both of them, ad I have never been a rubbish guy to anybody, I have never been a yes man. I will always yarn you how things…Because even when they were quarreling [chuckles].

I didn’t try to settle it because it was deeper than normal. You know they are brothers now. They will still settle don’t worry.”
