Nollywood actor Ramsey Nouah is one of the biggest actors the African continent has seen. He has appeared in hit movies like “The Blood Sisters,” “Living In Bondage: Breaking Free,” and more. Ramsey Nouah is also the recipient of numerous awards, such as the Africa Movie Academy Award (2010 and 2020), the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (2022), and more.
Despite all these achievements, little is known about the wife and family of Ramsey Nouah.
The 52-year-old actor is married to Emelia Philips-Nouah, and the couple shares three kids together: two boys, Quincy Nouah and Joshua Nouah, and a girl, Desiree Nouah.
Nouah revealed little about his marital life in a 2017 interview with Premium Times, praising his wife for keeping the home together while he is always on the road.
“My wife belongs to the category of “our mothers”. She believes in sustaining our marriage and holding it strong. So whenever I am asked how we have been able to keep it together, I tell them my wife is the woman who has actually held our home.’’
When quizzed about the position of his wife in their home, Nouah said:
“She doesn’t have a place because she owns the home. It’s her call however (way) she wants things done. She is the driver of the family and her decision is final. That is why I say she is not an ordinary woman. She is a triple woman.’’
The thespian also disclosed that his wife understands that romantic roles in movies are purely professional and have nothing to do with personal feelings and emotions.
“When some people ask me “how does your wife cope when she sees you kissing other women in the movie?” and I tell them that my wife is special. She is not an ordinary woman. She understands things in a way many other women don’t. That is why I say, an actor or actress, has to find that special person. It is not love that will bond you. Forget love, love dies. What sustains the marriage is companionship. If you cannot find companionship in your partner from the beginning, then you do not have a partner.’’
Ramsey Nouah and Emilia tied the knot in 2002 and have waxed stronger for over 20 years.
