WhatsApp will be Dropping Support for These Smartphones

WhatsApp is discontinuing support for some outdated smartphones and has begun notifying users. If you’re still using an earlier iPhone, it’s time to upgrade.

WhatsApp is intending to discontinue support for particular iOS versions and has begun telling customers to upgrade to a more supported version of iOS.

This means that WhatsApp will no longer be compatible with iPhones running iOS 10 or iOS 11. Any device running iOS 11 can be updated to iOS 12, after which it will be able to run WhatsApp without issue.

However, because the iPhone 5 and 5C do not support iOS 12, they will be unable to operate WhatsApp after the deadline.
