What’s Up With Olivia Colman’s New Blonde Hair

Forget the actual Oscars statuettes, the award for biggest beauty transformation goes to Olivia Colman. Forgoing her chestnut brunette crop in favour of a “golden platinum” hue, the look was a surprising change for Colman who has rarely departed from her signature style.

On towel dried hair, I applied the Better Natured Reshapeable Heat Lotion with a few spritzes of the Beach Texture Spray. I sculpted her hair into pics with my hands, drying it on low speed it started to set her hair into place. “Olivia and I had been chatting about this [hair change] since November when she was in LA doing press for The Crown,” the hair stylist behind the look, Marcus Francis, told British Vogue. “As she has a pixie cut, there was the freedom to try something new and fun; not to mention she wears a wig for The Crown, so she could do what she liked with the colour.”
