What I like about VeryDarkMan – Seun Kuti

Nigerian singer, Seun Kuti has praised controversial social media activist, Martins Vincent Otse known as VeryDarkMan (VDM) for his distinct style of activism, highlighting how his bold approach to sensitive issues has made a powerful impact.

Seun Kuti admitted that, as a singer, he’s unable to address issues like VeryDarkMan does due to the fear of backlash from the music industry.

VeryDarkMan has been effective in holding accountable those who have exploited and harmed people, providing a voice for victims and inspiring fear in some celebrities.

The Afrobeats singer however suggested that VeryDarkMan could expand his influence by embracing a more political stance, reaching an even broader audience.

A few months back, Seun stated that Verydarkman is a necessity. He said the latter serves a necessary purpose, particularly in holding corrupt politicians and their enablers accountable.

It is worth noting that Verydarkman started off on the right path advocating for justice on social media but became controversial over time after he started hurling insults at people and weighing in on issues of less significance.

Consequently, he got entangled in issues with actresses, Tonto Dikeh, Iyabo Ojo, crossdresser, Bobrisky and a few others.
