We don’t seek career, we’ve become iconic, legendary – P-Square’s Peter Okoye to critics

Peter Okoye of the P-Square group, a well-known Nigerian musician, has responded to Twitter users who threatened him over his choice of presidential candidate for the upcoming election, glamsquad reports.

On Friday, he issued a statement via his verified Twitter handle.

The musician had previously stated his support for Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate Peter Obi.

Okoye stated that the P-square group had become iconic and legendary, and that they were no longer looking for a career.

“Stop crying..” he wrote. We are International! We will be the ones to decide when to retire at this point! We sold out a World Tour of 70 cities with old songs! Be ready to cry more when our New album drops this summer!. We no longer have a job! We are legendary and iconic! The OGs came before the IG.
