Johnny Depp has briefly resumed his role as Captain Jack Sparrow, glamsquad reports.
In a video greeting to an 11-year-old superfan named Kori, the 59-year-old actor reproduced his legendary Pirates of the Caribbean character. Kori, who has had two heart transplants and is currently receiving palliative care, wrote in a post on December 11 that Depp made the video in partnership with the Make-A-Wish Foundation after learning about his recently launched pirate-themed YouTube channel, Kraken the Box. Kori also has two heart transplants.
“I’m really sorry, Captain Kori, that I missed this. I was going to say it before, but I’m going to say it now since I meant to. I’m going to say it, “The two-minute footage starts with Depp acting as Jack Sparrow. I’ve heard stories of something called a YouTube channel that people used to talk about in earlier times.
Depp refers to the child as “quite the YouTube channel man,” and he makes a commitment to watch Kori’s content as well as to “encourage all my friends to follow” the channel.
Still in his wacky persona, Depp said, “That, I think, will make for a beautiful entertainment expertise brief slip of connection entirely in one area but far apart—but then, at the same time, very close.” “Intriguing, persistent, and odd.”
The actor wished Kori “the best of luck” in his new effort and added, “Captain Kori, I am your number one fan.”
Kori has gained thousands of new followers since posting Depp’s video message. He started his YouTube channel in November, and as of the time this story was published, he had more than 179,000 subscribers.
According to a source close to Depp, he filmed the video as a result of Make-A-Wish getting in touch with him with a “timely inquiry” about surprising Kori, who watched the Pirates of the Caribbean films while recovering from heart surgery.
