Veteran Kannywood actor, Samanja, dies at 84

Veteran Kannywood actor, Usman Baba Pategi, known by his stage name Samanja, is dead.

The popular Kaduna based Hausa actor died on Sunday morning after a prolonged illness.

He was a former staff of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN), Kaduna national station and a retired soldier.

Samanja was survived by two wives and 14 children.

He was buried in Kaduna on Sunday according to Islamic rites
