The Nigerian movie industry has once again being thrown into mourning following the passing of veteran Christian actor, Moses Korede, widely known as Baba Gbenro.
The heartbreaking news was shared by his fellow gospel actor and producer, Oluwaseun Adejumobi, on Instagram.
Posting a photo of the late actor, Adejumobi expressed his sorrow, describing Korede as a “general” who had now gone home, noting that Heaven had gained another soul.
“Heaven’s Gain Again! A General has gone to rest”.
Fondly known as Baba Gbenro by fans, the 65-year-old was a lead actor in the popular Mount Zion series Abattoir.
He also founded and served as the International President of Calvary Movies Drama Ministry, based in Ogbomoso, Nigeria, and was the CEO of Calvary Movies Television.
The passing of Baba Gbenro has left a vacuum in the hearts of his fans as many expressed sadness in the comments section
