Nigerian reality TV star and social media influencer Uriel Oputa has lamented that people are loosing their lives prematurely due to illnesses and unhealthy lifestyle habits.
The former Big Brother Naija housemate said unhealthy lifestyle habits such as lack of exercise, inadequate sleep, not drinking enough water, and eating starchy and fatty food, among others, are the main cause of health conditions such as strokes, heart diseases, and more.
In an Instagram stories post, Uriel said:
“I honestly get sick when I see people post soups with plenty of oil and fatty meat. (Evidence of good living they say) I see high cholesterol, stroke, heart issues.”
She further condemned her fellow youths for insisting on consuming unhealthy foods and urged them to embrace the right diet, exercise, and doctor visits.
“This our generation na only starchy food we know. I know a lot of people have gotten signs from their body. Pls make that change. Eat right, exercise, visit your doctor.”
Uriel is also a fitness enthusiast.
Apart from being a reality TV star and social media influencer, Uriel is a musician.
Though she does not command popularity as a musician, part of her selling point is her melodious voice, which has equally gained her some fans. On Instagram, Uriel has over 1.6 million followers.
Her enthusiasm toward a healthy lifestyle would see her influence fitness brands such as Temple Body.
In an Instagram post on March 1, 2023, she emphasized the importance of maintaining wellness.
“During this period my mental health has suffered. It’s Very important to create you time. Meditation, pray, clean, walk, breathing exercises, gym, yoga, the other room, good food, Family. Create the Time!!”
