‘He calls me the Solutionist’ -Ubi Franklin sets the record straight on his role with Davido and Chioma

Music executive Ubi Franklin has addressed misconceptions about his professional relationship with Afrobeat star, Davido, emphasizing that he serves as a business administrator, not a personal assistant or nanny as rumoured.

Ubi Franklin revealed this in response to an X user who labelled him as a personal assistant to Davido and his wife.

He pointed out his experience in the music industry, saying he is the CEO of Mademusicg and works with Davido in a professional role.

He added that Davido calls him “The Solutionist,” highlighting his skill in solving problems in the music business. Ubi Franklin stressed that his focus remains on handling the business side and that he will continue to work in this role.

He wrote:

“Ubi is the CEO of Mademusicg, and if you see me working for Davido, it’s because I have the required qualifications and experience to do the job of a business administrator. “David calls me #thesolutionist, do with that what you want. Definitely not his PA or nanny like most of you have tried to taunt me with. If that makes you happy, so be it. I am on the business end, and that’s where I’ll always be.”

Ubi Franklin sets record straight earlier

This isn’t the first time Ubi Franklin has addressed misconceptions about his professional relationship with Davido. A few months ago, he fired back at critics who referred to him as Davido and Chioma’s nanny.

In an Instagram live video on Sunday, March 6, Ubi dismissed the remarks, stating that people’s opinions about him caring for Davido’s son were irrelevant. He explained that he has a deep love for children, and due to his close friendship with Davido and Chioma, he enjoys their company. This, he said, is why he often helps carry their son, Ifeanyi.

Ubi further clarified that Chioma is like a sister to him, and if she ever asks for his help with her son, he wouldn’t hesitate to assist.
