It is a wrap!!!! Dare2Dream took Unilag with a storm. The moving train moves to UNICAL and UNIPORT later this month. Dare2Dream is a youth empowerment program targeted at female models and fashion enthusiasts powered by FCMB and Imperial Leather.
The 4th season kicked off in Unilag with the Class of Dreamers in ‘Music and Entertainment ’ graced by Noble Igwe, Osagie Alonge, Denrele Edun, Edewor Ajueshi and Kabuchi Michaels (Wazobia TV), Foza Doza, Fela Oke, Arthur Dieffenthaler (KLM Commercial Director) and TY Bello who shared wise words with the students on best practices to build a successful career in the Nigerian entertainment industry.
This was followed by Fashion and Lifestyle masterclasses by Bolanle Olukanni, Destiny Amaka, Adesola Ade-Unuigbe, Mr Fab, Akintunde Disu, Akin Faminu, and Eke Eke (Da VIVA) who spoke about the various facets of the fashion industry: branding, marketing, mentorships, and networking.
The panel sessions were moderated by popular student MCs, OAPs, VJs, and there were also stellar performances from Unilag’s finest acts – Marrz, Whytemuse, Magiks and Brainee, competing performing artists, designers and multi-talented models.
That was not all! While auditions and masterclasses were happening inside Unilag’s Afe Babalola Hall, FCMB Flexx, the bank account for the upwardly mobile youth and Imperial Leather, the elegant personal care brand treating every woman with a little luxury moment, were bringing more FUN with games, free make-up and hair styling and loads of other prizes.
When asked about the event, students commented that it was packed with “Edutainment” and it was a really unique experience for everyone in the room.
This 3-day event saw the final selection of the 4 multi-talented female models who would join the Bootcamp: Oshevire Benedicta Omamuyovwi, Agatha Isioma, Avaligbe Juliet, Folorunso Boluwatife. On the other hand, selected performing artist Amal Kansime and designer Obahor Tega will get the “once in a lifetime” opportunity to be on stage in front of Corporate Nigeria and the crème de la crème of Lagos at the grand finale at the Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, on September 10th 2017.
