Tough as it is to bid goodbye to 2019, there’s an excitement that comes with embracing what the new season has to offer. We take a look at trends that rocked 2019 and have compiled trends that should make your wardrobe fashionable in 2020.
Puffy sleeves: Although puffy sleeves trended in 2019, many fashionistas were not enthusiastic enough to rock it, but that problem might not exist in 2020 as fashion lovers are becoming brave enough to rock what they love.
Large Polka Dot: A trend that never goes out is Polka dot, but this time, people are switching it up, and instead of mixing both large and small sizes, we now see more of large volumes, an approach that will dominate looks, come 2020.
Neutral: Class is always in style, and that is why we have neutrals; a palette that adds sophistication to your looks and 2020 is no different. So look out for it.
Voluminous dresses: In 2020, fashionistas are aiming big with their dresses, either Long or short, or made with long or short sleeves. The reason is that the more voluminous the dress, the closer to chic you look.

Slides & mules: As the fashion industry evolves, one thing is for sure, comfort is becoming more valued, and if there is one thing that screams luxury and comfort, it is slides and mules of all forms and shapes. Women want to look fashionable, but many also want to be as comfortable as possible.
Palazzo: This piece of clothing should be a stable fashion because it continues to transcend from one era to the next, and with every age comes new ways to style it. In 2020, we are looking forward to seeing the design of this piece of clothing and its transformation.
Stylish LBD: Your black dress no matter where you are going, doesn’t have to remain dull. Create drama around the sleeves or neckline with either another fabric or exaggerated sleeves.
Bra Tops: In 2019, we saw the rave rise of bralettes, and while a lot of fashion pieces won’t be able to cross over to the next year, bralette has been handed the baton to take the good run it had in 2019 into 2020.
Grandma jean: This high-waist jean is not done with us and looking at how its ripped version rocked fashion weeks, make space for it to thrive come 2020.
