Nigerian songstress, Simi has shared a candid advise with parents on how best to train their female children.
In a video shared on her Instagram page, Simi encouraged parents to empower their daughters by teaching them how to take charge of their financial future and avoid being reliant on others for financial stability.
Expressing disapproval of parents who wish for their daughters to marry wealthy men, Simi urged parents to raise their daughters to be self-reliant and not dependent on men for their future success.
She said,
“Parents raise your daughters to be self sufficient and not to think that when they grow up, all they have to do is rely on someone to take care of them.
“There is security in being independent. A woman’s economic power is in fending for herself and being able to confidently acknowledge that she’s a complete person. Let them know that you are standing strong.”

Deja, as she is fondly known, vowed never to leave as she declared her love for the country. She also expressed how much she missed it.
She said, “I love America, I will never leave, I miss you deeply, I kiss you badly, and I kiss you sleepless”.
