TOXIC RELATIONSHIP: Signs to ‘get out’

Being in a toxic relationship is very stressful as you find yourself being emotionally down most of the times as the sad moments are more than the happy moments.

Although most people in a toxic relationship can not differentiate between a healthy relationship and when the relationship is no longer healthy for them.

Such unhealthy relationship could affect ones mental health, as you tend to be mentally drained by the relationship.

Here are signs that you are in a toxic relationship and you need to leave;

Trust issues.

Trust issues are normally the most visible part of a toxic relationship, you can’t have friends of the opposite sex without your partner feeling jealous or insecure to the extent that they get physical and start to hit you.

Excessive jealousy.

If your partner can’t bear the thought of you not being by their side every time or they always want to control your time and who you spend it with, you need to rethink that relationship.

Physical abuse.

This should absolutely be a deal-breaker in any relationship, you should never tolerate any form of physical abuse in your relationship because it never stops, even when they apologize and promise to change. Do not make excuses for an abusive partner either.
