1. Tiwa Savage
Nigerian singer and songwriter, Tiwa Savage got married to TeeBillz in 2013. Jamil was born into the marriage in 2015, but the couple divorced in 2016 after claims of adultery, drug abuse, and neglect.
Tiwa Savage did not hold back on her career in the music industry even after her divorce. She has won over 5 awards after her divorce from 2016 due to her musical excellence.
2. Mercy Aigbe
Many individuals are deterred from getting married and starting families because they are afraid of the unknown. Mercy Aigbe, a well-known screen goddess who made her reputation from her artistic on-screen performances, is one of the well-known people who didn’t let their failed marriages damage their careers. Mercy and Lagos-based hotelier Lanre Gentry’s seven-year marriage allegedly fell apart due to charges of domestic abuse.

Tonto Dikeh, a well-known actress, singer, and philanthropist from Nigeria, ,married Olakunle Churchill in 2015 after they first met in a nightclub in Lagos. In February 2016, the couple welcomed a newborn son, whom she and her spouse named King Andre Omodayo Churchill.
On Women’s Day in 2017, she admitted that her husband had been aggressive, causing her both physical and emotional suffering. Tonto Dikeh abandoned the marriage for all of these reasons and many more.

Akindele wed the Nigerian rapper and songwriter Abdul Bello in May 2016, but the world learned shockingly on June 30, 2022, that the union had broken down.
Funke Akindele’s failed marriage did not stop her political ambitions as the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos, Olajide Adediran, picked her as his running mate for the 2023 general election.
