Even in isolation in Australia, though, they tried to keep our spirits up, with Hanks posting cheerful progress updates, snaps of local delicacies, and shelter-in-place reminders on Instagram.
He also recently donated one of his beloved typewriters to an eight-year-old bullying victim named Corona.
“We have not only been approached, we have said, ‘Do you want our blood? Can we give plasma?’” Hanks said during an interview.
“In fact, we will be giving it now to the places that hope to work on what I would like to call the ‘Hank-ccine.’”
