Media personality, Toke Makinwa has cleared the air on reports of her rumored marriage to entertainment guru.
On Sunday 20th October 2024, news made the rounds that the actress and socialite had supposedly tied the knot with her bestie, Farouk Umar, during her Thanksgiving party held in Victoria Island in Lagos ahead of her 40th birthday on November 3rd.
In the pictures and videos making rounds on social media, an elated Toke is seen dress in white fitted dress, paired with a fascinator.
Interestingly, in what looks like a proposal in one of the pictures, Farooq is seen kneeling and inserting what is supposed to be a ring on Toke’s finger.
Reacting to the news, Toke took to her X page to clear the air. She noted that she didn’t get married, thanking fans for the prayers and congratulatory messages.
“I did not get married yesterday, I deeply appreciate all your love and prayers, I see how you all desire for me to settle down and God who is the author of time will do it when he thinks it is right. Yesterday was to honor God.”
