Nigeria’s Tobi Amusan has claimed her third consecutive Diamond League championship by winning the women’s 100m hurdles event at the Eugene Diamond League.
Despite losing her world title in Budapest, Hungary just a month ago, Amusan staged a remarkable comeback, triumphing over strong competitors like Jasmine Camacho-Quinn, Keni Harrison, and Danielle Williams.
The 26-year-old athlete completed the race with a season’s best time of 12.33 seconds.
Representing Puerto Rico, Camacho-Quinn secured second place with a time of 12.38 seconds, while Harrison from the United States of America took the third spot, finishing in 12.44 seconds.
Amusan has now become the second woman to win the 100m hurdles event in the Diamond League for three consecutive years, matching the achievement of Dawn Harper-Nelson, who accomplished this feat in 2012, 2013, and 2014.
