Tiwa Savage, one of Nigeria’s sensational Afrobeat singers has ventured into Nollywood with her debut movie “Water and Garri”.
The movie, “Water and Garri,” produced by Everything Savage and Unbound Studios, is set to premiere on Amazon Prime Video shortly, marking the acclaimed star’s debut in the film.
Directed by Meji Alabi, “Water and Garri” joins the expanding selection of top-notch Nollywood entertainment on Prime Video Nigeria.
The film follows the story of Aisha (Tiwa Savage), a resolute fashion designer who comes back to her home country after spending ten years in the United States, prompted by the death of a family member.
Aisha returns home after being away for ten years. Things have changed, and there’s more violence and tension. Aisha has to deal with her emotional scars, face guilt from the past, and reconnect with family, old friends, and a former love.
