Glamsquad reports that Bishop David Abioye, Vice President of Living Faith Church Worldwide, has condemned the Muslim-Muslim presidential ticket of the All Progressives Congress, APC.

Abioye stated that Christians would take on the APC in 2023 for bringing religion into politics.
Recall that APC presidential candidate Bola Tinubu chose Borno State’s Kashim Shettima as his running mate.
While Tinubu is a Muslim from the South, Shettima is a Muslim from the North.
Tinubu’s decision went against the wishes of many Nigerians who desired a Northern Christian leader.
In response to the news, Abioye stated that Tinubu’s decision was an insult and an aberration to Christians.
“I know everybody is getting ready for 2023 because everybody wants a new life, and everybody wants good things to happen; and good things will happen for us next year,” the cleric told Living Faith members in Abuja.
“There are some incompetent people who want to run this country into the ground, but they will fail.”
“I hope you all heard that one party stated that there are no qualified Northern Christians to serve as Vice President.” That is an insult, an outlier.
“Do you mean all Christian Northerners are idiots?” To now claim that there are no competent Northern Christians is an insult that must be corrected.
“Otherwise, what they are saying to you is that they are drawing the line at ‘your tent of Israel.'”
“We have never attempted to introduce religion into politics, but if they do, we will deal with it.”
“I’ve been voting since 1979, and the first person I voted for was Shehu Shagari, a Muslim rather than a Christian.” So it’s not about competing with anyone. We voted for Yar’Adua, a Muslim, who did well.
“Thinking there are no Northern Christians qualified to be Vice President is nonsense.”
