Timi Dakolo knocks off Majek Fashek’s N100M lawsuit threat with documents

Timi Dakolo, was earlier this week threatened with a N100million copyright lawsuit by Majek Fashek over his song “send down the rain”. _
Timi has released documents showing he didn’t infringe any copyright law for his remake of Majek’s “Send down the rain” song. The document reveals Majek Fashek was represented by his label boss Charles Novia and that the sum of N500,000 was paid on behalf of Timi Dakolo by Now Music to November Records.

Charles Novia also released a statement to this effect;
‘Well yeah, I brought a statement on this last year which absolves Timi of any wrong doing and we still stand by that statement.’

‘Majek in the presence of three or four witnesses gave us permission to negotiate that deal on his behalf. Timi Dakolo actually went through all the processes required to clear the song. I don’t know what Majek’s new management is trying to achieve with these things.’
