Following Wizkid’s dramatic loss of two potential Grammy prizes at the 64th Grammy Awards, and the outpouring of disappointment from his fans, a flashback video of the singer has been uploaded to fuel the controversy.
In this old video, Starboy stated in an interview with British supermodel Naomi Campbell that he does not care about accolades.
Wizkid, who had set his sights on winning something for his famous song Essence featuring Tems and Made In Lagos album, was unsuccessful in both the Best Global Music Performance and Best Global Music Album categories.
In the interview, Wizkid stated that he doesn’t care if he is nominated since what counts to him is that his songs reach his audience and that they appreciate them in various ways.
The footage was most likely obtained from the archives by followers of his competitor musicians in order to add insult to injury for Starboy FC, the Nigerian superstar’s fanbase.
