Joke Silva, an actress, turned 61 years old.
On Thursday, the actress posted a selfie to Instagram along with a message of kindness.
She wrote: “Kasha ma dupe dupe kasha ma dupe dupe..oromi o gbejo we we kasha ma dupe dupelj. Thank you Lord for another year… of your abundant Grace, Mercy and Favour.”
She received birthday greetings from other celebrities and followers in the post’s comment section.
At the age of 60 in 2017, Joke Silva celebrated 40 years in the film industry.
The veteran added that on the occasion of her 50th birthday, she had renewed her wedding vows.
“Ten years ago today on my 50th birthday we had our renewal of vows in Freedom Park on Lagos Island. Pastor Tony Rapu remarried us. Sir J and I. Six pastors were also part of the team that officiated. In the congregation was my Mum Dr (Mrs) Abimbola Silva. She had taken a wine and white Ankara as aso ebi for the family. My aunties Mrs Gbemi Rosiji, Aunty Olga Miller, Aunty Fracesca Emmanuel were all there.
All of them in their 80s, all of them now on the otherside of eternity. My almost twin sister Bisi was also there. She too is on the otherside of eternity. With my Dad and my late daughter. I believe that’s what happens the older we get, the more milestones we hit. Memories of those we have loved and lost. However being on this side of eternity is soo good too. challenging definitely especially the last 5years,” she wrote.
Bimbo Thomas
Bimbo celebrated her birthday by sharing several beautiful photos of herself on Instagram with the message, “All I need is love and light.”
The actress referred to herself as iconic as well.
“Been Iconic since I was born. Happy birthday to me. Thankful for life,” she wrote.
