Afrobeats Sensarional singer, David Adeleke better known as Davido has finally fulfilled his promise to Orphanages in Nigeria.
Recall that in 2021, ahead of his 29th birthday, Davido sent out a video message to his friends and colleagues in the entertainment industry to send money to him.
Within few hours, the DMW record label Boss received an impressive sum of over ₦100 million, which further surged to ₦200 million in the subsequent days from his friends, colleagues, and fans.
In a remarkable display of generosity, Davido contributed a personal donation of N50 million, culminating in a grand total of N250 million.
Following the remarkable fundraising success, Davido made a commitment to establish a dedicated committee responsible for ensuring the equitable distribution of the funds to various orphanages across the country.

In a statement shared via his Instagram page, Davido revealed that the funds, through the ‘David Adeleke Foundation’ has been successfully disbursed across four hundred and twenty four (424)orphanages.
Captioning the statement, the singer noted that he has always wanted to use his platform to serve others, and he is delighted to do so.
Thr father of three also appreciated everyone who donated and helped change lives while using his beloved slogan ‘we rise by lifting others’.
“I’ve always wanted to use my platform to serve others. Thankful that through your generosity, I’ve been able to do so. We recently disbursed over N200m to several orphanages in Nigeria, a tradition that started a few years ago around my birthday. Thank you to everyone who donated. With your help, we are changing lives. This is what I mean when I say We rise by lifting others. These are words in action. God bless you all!”
