The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are expecting a baby in the spring of 2019.
The news comes as the couple, who wed in May, touched down in Sydney ahead of their first official foreign tour together in Australia. Kensington Palace said there would be “no changes” to the royal tour to Australia, Fiji, Tonga and New Zealand as a result of Meghan’s pregnancy.
Speculation was sparked when Meghan’s tour schedule specified that she would not climb over the Sydney Harbour Bridge as first expected. The rumour mill went into overdrive, however, when the former television star attended the wedding of Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank wearing a Givenchy dress coat, which she chose not to remove on the day. It subsequently reached fever pitch after she was photographed leaving Sydney airport carrying two folders in front of her stomach.
