The Arise fashion week is one of Nigeria’s popular fashion weeks and no fashion week is complete without the amazing “street” styles by celebrities, influencers and fashion enthusiasts. For Arise Fashion Week 2019, this was no different and on Day 3 which marked the runway finale, fashion lovers came ready to put the “S” in SLAY!
While the runway shows featured the latest collections by some of the best designers across Africa and beyond, it was the Arise Talks which tackled real industry issues as panels of experts shared their opinions on how to move the African fashion industry forward.
Before we dive into the street style looks, let’s do quick housekeeping by acknowledging the success of this year’s event. The event which was headlined by supermodel Naomi Campbell as part of her commitment to promoting African fashion, drew global fashion power players like Andre Leon Talley, British Vogue EIC, Edward Enninful and Ethiopian supermodel and designer Liya Kebede. International models like Alton Mason, Ugbad Abdi and Nigeria’s Victor Ndigwe were also on ground to walk alongside their domestic colleagues.
With Arise Fashion Week 2019 now over, Naomi Campbell promised us a better show come 2020 and we can’t wait!
