In general, the desktop version of popular websites such as Facebook offers additional functionality and complete access to account-related activities that the mobile version does not.

The main motivation for removing features from famous websites’ mobile versions is to make the website load faster on mobile devices, which have lower processing power and slower internet connections than computers.

While both the iPhone Safari browser and the Android Chrome browser automatically display the mobile version of a website, they also offer the option to request the desktop version of any website.

Users may quickly switch back to the mobile version of the website after utilizing the desktop version, which is more optimized for mobile devices.

1. Switch to Mobile Version of Website on Android Phone or Tablet

If you are using Google Chrome on an Android phone or tablet, you can return to the mobile version of the website by pressing on the three dots icon and unchecking the tiny box next to the Request Desktop Site option.

You can return to the desktop version of the website at any time by tapping the three-dot menu symbol again and ticking the small box next to the Request Desktop Site option.

2. Switch to Mobile Version of Website on iPhone & iPad
