South Africans slam Tyla for defending Nigerian model, Chidimma Adetshina against bullying

Grammy-award-winning singer, Tyla Laura Seethal is currently being slammed by South Africans for supporting Nigerian model Chidimma Adetshina.

Miss Adetshina, a 23-year-old Law student, won the Miss South Africa beauty pageant, but her victory sparked controversy. Many South Africans questioned her citizenship, taking to social media to demand her disqualification. Adetshina was born to a South African mother and a Nigerian father.

An investigation into Chidimma’s background by South African Home Affairs revealed that the identity of an innocent South African woman might have been stolen by Adetshina’s mother. This discovery led to Adetshina’s withdrawal from the competition.

Reacting to the news, Tyla took to her Twitter page to defend Adetshina and criticize South Africans for bullying her. She emphasized that while she will always stand with South Africa, she strongly advocates against bullying.

She tweeted,

“Disappointed that this happened to her, but wish you all the best, girl. Kill it.

I will always stand with South Africans, I just feel regardless of the opinions. She was bullied, and that’s what I don’t stand for”.
