Two big music channels, Soundcity and MTV Base, have done something significant as family, friends, and fans continues to demand justice over the untimely death of late singer, Mohbad.
In a move applauded, the music platforms have yanked off Marlian Music, a record label owned by Azeez Adeshina Fashola better known as Naira Marley off their playlists.
Recall that Naira Marley, his aid, Samson Erinfolami Balogun better known as Sam Larry and the entire crew of Marlian Music have been fingered in the death of Mohbad.
Mohbad, was part of Marlian Music record label but parted ways with the label and its entire crew in 2022.
Since then, the artist tho with a gentle character tied to make the public aware of daily assault and threat to life he has received from Marlian music.
One of the unforgettable moments happened in October 2022 when Mohbad shared a live video of one of the many assaults instigated by Naira Marley. In the video, he was crying and running away from a building in Chevron, Lekki.
In other news, Splash FM, a significant player in the music industry, has also decided to stop playing Naira Marley’s songs.
This united action sends a strong message that the music industry is taking controversies and alleged connections to tragic events seriously.
Mohbad, born Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba passed away on Tuesday, 12th September 2023.
