Nigerian celebrities have turned to social media to respond to the tragic death of Herbert Wigwe, Chief Executive Officer of Access Holdings, and his wife, Chizoba, and son, who were killed after a helicopter carrying the couple and four others crashed in California on Friday night, February 9.

According to accounts, the helicopter was on its way to Las Vegas when it crashed near Boulder City, located between Nevada and California, on Friday night.
According to the San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department, the chopper took off from Palm Springs Airport at 8.45 p.m. and was en route to Las Vegas when it crashed at 10 p.m.
The 57-year-old bank executive, his wife, and their kid were believed to be on board the ill-fated helicopter.
Abimbola Ogunbanjo, the chairman of the Nigerian Export Group, is also claimed to have been aboard the helicopter.
In response to the terrible news, prominent Nollywood actor Muyiwa Ademola commented, “May the Lord rest the souls of the departed.”
The father, mother, and their son, along with three other persons, have all gone like that.
May The Almighty gives the families the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.”
