Nollywood actress, Sonia Ogiri has shaded her colleagues lamenting about the high cost of living in the country.
Taking to her Instagram stories, Ogiri stated that she laughs in Swahili language, the most widely spoken African Language in Sub-Saharan Africa.
Stating the reason for her laughter, Ogiri asked why celebrities are speaking up about the cost of food items. She further asked if they are deceiving themselves or lamenting so that ordinary Nigerians can think they feel the hardship too.
The mother of one who has endless questions also asked her colleagues why they speak after a bad deed had been done. She asked that they stop deceiving the poor that they are also suffering.
She wrote;
“I Laugh in Swahili. Why are the celebrities speaking up now about the hike In foodstuffs? Una dey whine una sef or just complaining so the ordinary Nigerian go think say you dey feel wetin dem dey feel?
“Why do some Nigerian celebrities keep mute when they’re supposed to speak at the right time before things becomes b*d? About the wrongs going on? Why medicines after deat*?
“Stop deceiving the poor Nigerians with the narrative of you’re also suffering the hardship”
“Things are so hard in Nigeria for common Nigerians”.
It is worth noting celebrities such as comedian Ay Makun and his wife Mabel have lamented about the cost of living.
In the same manner, Kevin Ikeduba, Ronke Ojo, Mr Macaroni, P-Square and host of others have also lamented.
