Yemi Alade, the acclaimed “Queen of Afrobeats,” said on Monday that all of her concert tickets for her Paris tour were sold out.
She said this to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) after performing at a performance with a self-themed theme in the French capital, Paris.
She claimed that the concerts at L’Olympia events in Paris and other locations were a big success in a phone interview with NAN.
“My hugely successful concert, which was held at the prestigious venue L’Olympia hall, was a sold out. It had thousands of my fans in an excited frenzy, singing my songs back to back.
“My second concert here witnessed tremendous success because our fans stood by us, supporting my craft and music all the way,” she said.
Yemi also disclosed her plans to perform in various countries before the end of the year.
“I am immensely grateful for the love from Paris and indeed the world over. Now that the Paris concert is done, the rest of the 2022 world tour moves to Montreal, Canada.
“I will also tour the rest of Africa which includes, Abidjan on Nov. 25 and then Uganda on Dec. 11.
“I am excited to announce these dates and I can’t wait to hit the stage and give my fans a show,” she said.
After performing at the Le Trianon for the first time in Paris as part of her lucrative 2017 European tour, Yemi returned to the city.
Yemi praised her enthusiastic Paris fans for showing up in large numbers to witness her return to the city of love.
Yemi, one of the top female musicians representing Nigeria and Africa on the international scene, continues to make significant gains in the music industry.
Other well-known singers on the bill included Maud Elka, Mo Eazy (Nigeria), Made in Paris, and Bramsitoo, to name a few. Mama Africa, or the “King of Queens,” was also performing.
Yemi’s accomplishment has confirmed her status as a household name since she won the Peak talent competition in 2009, which launched her career.
