According to the report, AKA and a buddy were shot and killed outside a restaurant in the coastal city of Durban in February 2023.
AKA and his best friend, Tebello ‘Tibz’ Motshoane, were shot dead at close range by two armed individuals while walking to their vehicle.
However, during a press briefing on Tuesday night, the KwaZulu-Natal provincial police commissioner, Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi, stated that the accused will appear in court on Thursday.
In a viral clip on the internet, Mkhwanazi, a lieutenant-general, explained how the suspects were arrested and the roles they played in the rapper’s death.
“It was clear that AKA was monitored from the airport and Tibz was not the intended target in the murder on Florida Road in Durban.
“We know they were paid for this”, he said.
