In a now-viral post, he accused them of neglecting him in his youth, which he believes shaped his current personality.

This outburst comes on the heels of his mother, Madam Elsie Evelyn Avemegah, revealing in a recent interview that she hasn’t seen her son in over a decade and has been left uncared for despite her struggles.

She heavily relies on her supportive relatives to manage her finances, entrusting them with the responsibility of handling her financial affairs.

In response to claims about his responsibilities towards his mother, Shatta Wale stated that although he loves her, he feels no obligation to support her, emphasizing that he doesn’t feel a sense of duty to provide for her.

He revealed that his mother was absent during his childhood, leaving him to navigate those formative years without her guidance and care, and now he’s simply reciprocating that neglect, returning the lack of support he received.

Instead, his stepmother took on a caretaking role, providing stability and support that his biological mother did not, filling the void left by his mother’s absence.

He has come to terms with his mother’s decision to be absent during his childhood, and as a result, he does not feel responsible for supporting her now. He emphasized that his love for her does not translate to an obligation to provide for her financially.

He also expressed frustration over his biological mother’s decision to take family matters to social media, which he felt was inconsiderate and aimed at attracting public sympathy.

Shatta Wale has faced persistent accusations of abandoning his mother, sparked in 2022 when she was evicted from her home after six years.

In subsequent interviews, Madam Elsie Avemegah revealed her deteriorating health and alleged lack of support from her son, a claim recently corroborated by her niece Sherita on TikTok.
