Nigerian-American singer and actor, Olurotimi Akinosho professionally known as Rotimi and his partner, Vanessa Mdee are expecting their second child.
The celebrity couple took to their Instagram pages to announce the good news with a gender reveal video. In the video, Rotimi opened an umbrella that releases pink confetti that rains over the couple; pink signifies a baby girl.
Rotimi and his fiancee said: “We’re excited to announce that our baby girl is on the way. What a beautiful testament to GOD’s favour. We are overjoyed”.
The couple is already parents to a son, Seven, whom they welcomed in September 2021.
Glamsquad recalls that the Power actor and his singer fiancee announced the arrival of their first child with a sweet post on Instagram. They shared a close-up photo of their newborn’s hand on their accounts and revealed his name alongside crown and dove emojis in the caption.
Rotimi and Mdee met at an Essence Festival afterparty in New Orleans. According to Rotimi who is totally in love, he said: “Vee headed back to Africa [at the time], but we quickly realized we couldn’t and didn’t want to live without each other.” They got engaged on 30th December 2020, in Atlanta.
