Singer, Falz celebrates his parents as his mum, Funmi Falana, becomes a Senior Advocate of Nigeria SAN

Nigerian singer and actor, Folarin Falana better known as Falz is in a joyous mood as his mother, Funmi Falana, became a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN).

Mrs. Falana, along with 57 others, was honoured with the title of Senior Advocate of Nigeria today, 27th November. It is worth noting that his father is a well-known SAN.

Taking to his Instagram page, Falz shared pictures from the ceremony, and he gushed over his parents who are both SAN.

“What’s better than one Senior Advocate? Two”.

Mrs Funmi Falana is a practising lawyer and women’s activist. She first studied physics at the University of Benin before she went on to bag a degree in law at the University of Lagos. She also obtained her master’s degree (LL.M) from the University of Lagos.

Prior to her celebration of the Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) status, she had been a member of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), West African Bar Association, International Bar Association, and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.

Falz’s mother presently holds the position of National Director at Women Empowerment and Legal Aid (WELA), a non-governmental organization dedicated to advocating for the rights of women and children.
