According to The Sunday Times, the 57-year-old singer claimed that Jerry Twain used to physically and emotionally abuse her while she lived in the house.
She stated: “I would hide and flatten my boobs. I’d wear bras that were too small for me, and I’d wear two, playing it down until I was no longer a girl. Make it easier for you to go unnoticed. Because, oh my goodness, you didn’t want to be a girl in my house.”
Twain, who began performing at the age of eight, said the abuse made it difficult for her to embrace her femininity.
She revealed the abuse for the first time in her 2011 autobiography “From this Moment.”

Twain’s parents died when he was 22 years old.
