Actress and producer Shan George couldn’t hold back her tears on the first anniversary of her mother’s death on Sunday.
In an Instagram post, the 52-year-old paid emotional tribute to the deceased, saying the pain she feels is indescribable and she is still in denial.
She wrote: “My Mother. Rest In Peace. 1 year in d ground today, I’m still in denial. My Precious Mother. The Pain Is Indescribable. I’m staying strong for ur Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.My Precious Mother. A Bless.
“My Precious Mother. Now turned Angel. Watching Us From Heaven.Imiss u everyday! My Precious Mother. #akashine May God Bless All Of U, Friends and Family Who Showed Up For My Mother’s Burial, and All Who Supported In Anyway. I’m forever grateful.”
On July 1, Shan George posted on Instagram to share the news of her mother’s passing.
“I lost my precious mother this morning. She was d strongest woman I know,” the Church Business actress wrote.
To wish the thespian a happy birthday, her mother sang a song in a video that Shan shared on April 21.
The University of Lagos mass communication graduate congratulated her mother on her birth, writing, “Happy safe delivery to my precious mother on this day.”
