Nollywood actor Shaffy Bello has stated that she is not thinking about getting married again because there are a lot of other women available for marriage other than her.
The thespian made this revelation during an episode of “Mercy’s Menu,” which is hosted by fellow movie star Mercy Johnson.
Shaffy Bello, who said she is a “one man kind of woman,” noted that she would love to settle down with a man as a companion, not a husband.

The thespian said:
“I am a one man kind of woman and I believe there is a lot of women here to fill a home. That is why when I meet people or go on a date, they are women. I want to settle with someone at the end of the day, I don’t want to be 55 and then go out or have a birthday party and then come home and be all alone, I don’t want that. I want to be with someone, maybe not marriage, but a companion.”
It will be recalled that during an interview with high profile media personality Chude Jideonwo in 2022, Shaffy Bello revealed that she had to divorce her ex-husband because of acting. She left her children and husband in the UK and returned to Nigeria to join the movie industry.
Shaffy said:
“I paid the price of (not) having a connection with my children. Coming to Nigeria, I would stay in my room sometimes and cry, like, ‘oh my gosh, what am I doing?’ I left them. My daughter was 13 and my son was 11. Mind you, I was a hands-on mother: I would come home, nap, set the table, and so on.And I mean, quit my job just to raise my children. That’s why I only had two. So when they grew up to a certain extent, I went back to work.”
The actor further noted:
“I sacrificed everything because I believe that they didn’t ask to be born. I wanted to give them everything. Leaving them was a huge sacrifice, but it turned around for good. I came back and wanted to be a Yoruba actor. I found my calling; paid the price of divorce five years ago. He was a good man but I got to a place where I wanted more. I had to make that choice to focus on what I wanted. I’ve worked too hard and I’m sacrificing nothing.”
Shaffy Bello is currently one of the biggest names in the Nigerian film industry. She has appeared in films like Tinsel, Elesin Oba, Your Excellency, Shanty Town, and more.
