Nigerian comedian and politician, Seyi Law, has shared his thoughts on a viral social media story about mirrors being used as “monitoring spirits.”
An X user took to the microbogging app to share that a mirror shouldn’t be accepted as a gift. @talk2veee wrote:
“One of the gifts you should never accept from anybody is MIRROR.. Yes you heard me…Whether small, big or fancy ones..DO NOT ACCEPT MIRROR AS A GIFT!.
She further claimed that a mirror can be used to monitor a person’s life as there are some powerful forces at play.
In response to the viral post, Seyi Law commented, noting that items beyond just shoes can be used as spiritual “monitoring tools.”
He emphasized that people should be mindful, as various objects can carry hidden spiritual implications.
Seyi Law recounted a personal encounter with what he believed to be a spiritual attack through a pair of gifted shoes. He revealed that back in 2016, during a vigil in his home, he sensed divine guidance alerting him that something in his house was being used as a “monitoring tool.” After searching, he identified the shoes as the source, and his pregnant wife promptly took them out and burned them.
Later, after the birth of their daughter, a prophet confirmed that God had removed the monitoring influence from their lives, adding that the individual responsible would never set foot in their home again. Seyi Law shared that his daughter’s survival is proof of divine protection, as he believes forces once sought to harm her in the womb.
He wrote,
“I wish it was only a mirror they could use to monitor someone sha. One must be very careful of gifts. On the 2nd March 2016, I had a vigil in my room, and as I prayed, God told me there was something in my house that they were using to monitor me and I found out it was a pair of shoes someone gifted me. My wife took it out and burnt it. Before that day, I always doubted people who said God spoke to them.
I was awakened from my sleep around 5 am on the 3rd of March by a voice that told me to write down what I was hearing. I wrote them, and when my eyes cleared and I read what I wrote, I turned and told my wife that she was pregnant. She doubted it until days later when we confirmed.
Fast forward, we had my daughter, and on the day of her dedication, a prophet told me God had removed what they were using to monitor me in my home and that the person would never step into my house again. The person hasn’t stepped foot in my house ever again, no matter my invitations. @OfficialArole was another person God used for me. I am ever grateful for him.
My darling daughter is my evidence of God being our own in my home. My mother’s mini copy. They almost killed her in the womb, but God said no. They mocked her after she was born, but God has given her beauty for their ashes. To God Almighty, I return all the glory. Aye o ni mu wa o. Amen”
