Selena Gomez reveals she can’t carry babies in her womb due to health issues

American actress and singer, Selena Gomez has shared that health issues have made it impossible for her to carry babies in her womb.

The superstar, who has been open about her struggles with bipolar disorder and the autoimmune disease lupus, explained that carrying a child would pose serious health risks to her. She shared that these conditions, combined with the complications they bring, make pregnancy too dangerous for her, as it could potentially endanger her life.

In a recent interview with Vanity Fair, Selena said, “I have a lot of medical issues that would put my life and the baby’s in jeopardy. That was something I had to grieve for a while.”

Selena also disclosed that she plans to keep her last name after marriage. She said, “I am Selena Gomez. That’s it.”

Back in 2015, she took a break from her career to focus on her mental health, dealing with anxiety and depression linked to her lupus diagnosis. In 2017, she underwent a life-saving kidney transplant, also due to lupus complications.

Recently declared a billionaire by Bloomberg, Selena is currently in a relationship with record producer Benny Blanco.
