American rapper and record producer, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has decided to abstain from attending the 2024 Grammys in light of the ongoing sexual assault allegations surrounding him.
Despite securing a nomination in the Best Progressive R&B Album category for his work on “The Love Album: Off the Grid,” the 54-year-old rapper has opted to skip the award show scheduled for February 4 next month.
According to a report by The Hollywood Reporter published on Friday, he was not uninvited but is choosing not to attend due to the severity of the allegations.
Within a week of the Grammy nominations being unveiled in November, Cassie initiated legal action against her ex-boyfriend and former record label boss. She accused him of subjecting her to physical and sexual abuse throughout their decade-long relationship.
As per the legal documents in Cassie’s lawsuit, she alleged that Diddy was inclined to uncontrollable rage and often subjected Ms. Ventura to severe beatings.
However, the sensational case was swiftly dismissed the following day as Cassie reached a settlement with the rapper, with whom she had an on-off relationship spanning from 2007 to 2018.
